Its been proven time and time again, when the water temperatures hover in the 40’s-50’s, slow rolling or bottom dragging a bait along the bottom is a sure way to score on largemouth and spotted bass. We recommend a slender style minnow bait with a small tail to entice those lethargic bass. Look for these fish in 20′-60′ of water depending on the water clarity and look for bait in the ditches leading from the main lake into the creek runs and as the early season progresses, look in the ditches in the creek runs leading to a spawning flat. Keep contact with the bottom as much as possible and wait for them to load up !!!
